Fornalutx is nestled high up in the Tramuntana mountain range, overlooking Soller in the north west of Mallorca. It is often referred to as "the prettiest village in Spain". There are beautiful traditional stone houses amongst the lemon and orange groves. It was originally an Arab farmstead and in recent years has attracted a more international community. There has been a great effort made to maintain the cobbled streets and traditional facades. Since the opening of the Soller tunnel it is also much more accessible. It is definitely worth a visit, just to wander around the streets and admire the architecture.
