About Port Sa Calobra

Popular beach in a breathtaking location

Sa Calobra is located on the north west coast of Mallorca and is a stunning setting for two unique beaches tucked in among steep rocky cliffs and divided by the Torrent de Parais (river gorge). It is rather difficult to reach but the surrounding scenery is so incredible that it has become one of the most popular beaches to visit, particularly in the summer months. Cycling to and from Sa Calobra is considered to be one of the most iconic cycling routes in the world. The relentless climb of 9.5km is the ambition of many amateur riders - and one that beats many! Located off the main route that runs through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, the journey to Sa Calobra is as much a part of the day's adventure as the beach itself! There are two beaches, Cala Sa Calobra and Torrent de Parais, a larger beach which is accessed by a footpath stretching for nearly one kilometer and via a narrow tunnel, making it one of the more unique and remote beaches on the island. The beaches can also be reached by ferry in high season, from Port de Soller.
