About Manacor

Mallorca's second largest town and Rafa Nadal's home

Manacor is the second largest town in Mallorca, after its capital city Palma. It is in the north east of the island and is a largely residential town. It is home to the world famous pearl manufacturer, Majorica, and the factory is open to the public. Here you can learn about the history of the imitation pearls and browse their factory shop. There is a large pedestrianised area in the centre with plenty of shops and restaurants and there is a bustling local market every Monday. Manacor is a very important town for tennis as Rafa Nadal was born there and he has his own Rafael Nadal International Tennis centre on the outskirts of the town, to attract talented young tennis players from all over the world.
