If the only place you have seen in Palma is the airport, you are missing a fantastic day out. Palma Cathedral, La Seu, sits 44m high overlooking the bay of Palma. The Gaudi´s influence can be seen in the canopy above the alter. The striking gothic rosette on the eastern front of the cathedral is 12.55m wide and was constructed using more than 1,200 colourful glass fragments. Just outside Palma is the circular Bellver castle, built in the 14th century for King James II of mallorca. Open to the public. The streets of the Santa Catalina area of Palma come alive at night time with restaurants serving every possible type of food. The colonaded, Avenida de Jaime III is home to the big label shops. Nearby, is the Passeig Borne, a central pedestrian area with big name shops. Don´t miss the flower market Monday to Saturday mornings, and weekday afternoons in the Passeig de la Rambla. The narrow streets around the Plaza Mayor are full of surprises, unusual shops and amazing architecture, look up! We also deliver and collect from Palma Airport
