About Marratxi

A town close to Palma known for its pottery

Marratxi is a town and also the name given to a district just north of Palma. The town is mainly residential, for those wanting to live close to Palma. The main attraction for visitors is its pottery fair and shopping outlets. The Mallorca Fashion Outlet consists of over sixty different fashion brands and is well worth a visit. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and cinemas. For those interested in history the church of Sant Marcal provides a piece of Mallorca's religious history and views of the pine covered mountains can be enjoyed from here. The Clay Museum and many artisan pottery workshops illustrate the importance of this craft in the region and its possible to visit the workshops.
