Just 17kms from Palma, you will find the charming town of Valldemossa. So charming, in fact, that it is home to many artists and painters, whose works can be found for sale in the local art shops. The narrow streets Chopin and the writer George Sand famously spent the winter of 1838-1839 here. A museum with memorabilia can be found in La Cartuja de Valldemossa, a palace and former residence of King Sancho I of Mallorca. The 6km road down to the small hamlet/fishing port of Valldemossa is narrow and windy. The 180º view of the beautiful azure mediterranean, and the well regarded restaurant at the bottom, make it worth the journey, either by car or bike. The pebble beach is small. Valldemossa holds its market on Sunday morning. One of the island´s best hotels can be found here, perfect for that extra special treat, see link We also deliver and collect from Palma Airport
